History of King's Highway 11B (Earlton):

The Earlton Highway 11B Business Route was created in 1961, after the Earlton Bypass was completed and opened to traffic. The old alignment of Highway 11 through downtown was designated as Highway 11B for a number of years. The business route was signed concurrently with Highway 571 for part of its route. Earlton's Highway 11B Business Route was decommissioned at some point in the late 1960s, but the exact date is not known at this time. The old highway is now known as Highway 571 (10th Avenue North) and 10th Street East.
