History of King's Highway 12B (Coldwater):

This Business Loop was created in 1960 when the Coldwater Bypass opened. The old alignment of Highway 12 through downtown Coldwater became Highway 12B. The highway was 2.6 km long. The route survived until 1982, when it was formally decommissioned. Four other Highway 12B Business Routes have existed over the years in Port McNicoll, Orillia, Gamebridge and Victoria Harbour.
