History of Secondary Highway 528A:

Secondary Highway 528A is a local highway in the District of Sudbury that serves as an access road from Highway 528 to Pine Cove on Lake Nipissing, southeast of Sudbury. The Pine Cove Road was originally considered to be part of Highway 528, but was re-designated as Highway 528A by an Order-in-Council dated June 20, 1957. The route of Highway 528A has remained unchanged since it was established in 1957. The highway was originally gravel-surfaced, but was paved in 1983. Unless posted otherwise, the speed limit on Highway 528A is 80 km/h (50 mph). There are no services available on Highway 528A.
