Left - Abandoned Hwy 7 alignment west of Manilla. The surviving concrete pavement exposed beneath the asphalt layer is unusual because it was grooved (scored) to improve vehicle traction and to facilitate roadway drainage. To my knowledge, only two other sections of surviving grooved concrete pavement exist in Ontario. Both are on abandoned sections of highway, like the Manilla example.
